SENIOR LEADERSHIP
PROPHETESS JASMINE SAILOR
YOUTH PASTOR
Prophetess Jazz, as she is affectionately known, was born on April 8th in Tallahassee, Florida, and is the youngest daughter of Gwendolyn and Jasper Sailor, Jr. She is the sister of Byron Williams, Melissa Williams, Felicia Sailor, Lakesha Taylor, and the late Demarcus Sailor.
Prophetess Jazz has always served in some capacity of ministry since a very young age. She was baptized at an early age and became an active member of the Sunshine Band, Youth Dpartment, Young Adult Choir, and Youth Usher Board. Her passion and love for the creative arts was definitely a great passage into ministry as she established the very first liturgical dance ministry for children and adults at her home church, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She served as President of both the Young Adult Choir and the Youth Usher Board, Director of the dance ministries, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, and Sunday School Secretary. She allowed her works to speak for her. Even in the midst of all of that, she established the very first Union Baptist Association Youth Choir that was comprised of youth from all 13 churches involved in that Association.
Prophetess Jazz later moved her membership to Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church where she continued working in ministry. She served as President of the Young Adult Choir, Vacation Bible School teacher, and Media Specialist for the church. Prophetess Jazz soon heard the voice of God call her into the ministry. Although she did not work in the calling while a member of St. Mary, she recognized the call, and allowed God to groom her accordingly.
Prophetess Jazz joined Life Changing Faith Church (LCF), under the leadership of Bishop Ty and Prophetess Te’Aira Smith, shortly after its inception in 2014. She was not a member long before her pastors recognized the call of God on her life. After much training and developing, she delivered her initial sermon on March 13, 2016 and now she is a licensed and ordained minister and prophetess. In the prophetic realm, Prophetess Jazz has documented proof of fulfilled prophecies, prayers, and healings.
Her love for youth and the desire for wanting them to excel spiritually, academically, socially, and intellectually granted her the position of being appointed the very first Youth Pastor of LCF. Not only does Prophetess Jazz serve as Youth Pastor, she is a member of the LCF Senior Administration, a Project Manager for DEE Outreach Ministries, and serves as the Overseer of Life’s Journey Pre-Collegiate and Collegiate Ministry where she imparts knowledge into and mentors the young adults of LCF. As an educator in the Public School system for the last 15 years, Prophetess Jazz is serving her eleventh year as an instructor, and is now employed at Bond Elementary School in Tallahassee, Florida.
Prophetess Jazz has been awarded the title of Rookie Teacher of the Year as well as Teacher of the Year. She attained her Associate of Arts degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2006, became a lifelong member of Lambda Iota Tau – an international honor society for literature – in 2008, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009.
Prophetess Jazz was awarded the Gadsden County Chapter of the National Hook-Up of Black Women 2019 Persons of the Year Award for her educational service in the community. Prophetess Jazz lives by her favorite scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith and not by sight” because she is the embodiment of exhibiting faith throughout the journey… she is a Faith Walker!
